I had to post these girls up here again because they are amazing… I love the way they rearranged this song with a 90s r&b feel. I think as a artist when you do a cover, you have to make that song your own. it’s not about sounding like the artist, it’s more about showcasing yourself through the song in a talented way. And these ladies did just that, as they do with every song they cover. I actually love this version more than Rihanna‘s. Enjoy…

I will definitely be in attendance for their tour with Jodeci when they come to Greensboro in May. The 90′s generation is coming back strong.

Spoken-Word Flava: Shanelle Gabriel
They say Poetry is nearer to vital truth than history…
This is one of my favorite talented poetic sistas. Mrs. Shanelle gabriel is a soulful singer, a gifted writer, actress, and advocate for Lupus awareness. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she has displayed her skills at colleges and venues both nationally and internationally. Frequently compared to Lauryn Hill and the super duo Floetry wrapped-in-one, Shanelle’s tenacity has allowed her to become a shining star in any path she treads.(http://www.shanellegabriel.com/bio/)
i love to see beautiful black women showcasing their artistic talents, that’s why we need to support them! Check her out in this video performing one of my favorite poems. This one is for the ladies, I love it!!!

Throwback Moment: The Original Destiny’s Child
I remember being a little girl and watching this one music show on BET with a host name Rachel. I swear every show was hosted by this lady and I would literally be glued to the TV. This show was wayyyyy better than 106 & park. Anyways I remember this particular performance with Destiny’s Child cause I almost broke my ankle trying to dance like them lol. I loved me some Destiny’s Child, I still do but too bad there’s no more. I couldn’t help but laugh when I noticed how the other three members were placed behind Beyonce and the particular parts of the song they were singing. Some girl group huh? Welp Thank God for youtube for helping me relive those memories. Enjoy!!
