Kicks Of The Day: Nike Air Jordan XI (11) x Concords

Jordan wore the Nike Air Jordan XI throughout the 1995-1996 NBA season. Jordan  led the Bulls to yet another NBA victory. He also became the second man to ever win Most Valuable Player awards for the regular season, All-Star Game and NBA Finals in the same season. He averaged 30.4 points per game and scored 40 or more points in nine games. (kicksonfire)

A terrific design with a new patent leather and the return of the clear rubber sole made the Air Jordan XI the most appreciated Air Jordan model ever released.

But the durability and quality was disappointing. Again the clear rubber soles easily yellowed and the patent leather also tended to crack up and/or easily get scratched. Top design – lacking quality

Michael went back to his banning days and was fined $5000 per game during the semifinals in 1995 for wearing the Air Jordan 11 (XI) Original (OG) – Concords (White / Black – Dark Concord). He wore them twice and this was looked upon as uniform violation as the rest of the Bulls wore entirely black shoes. I mentioned in my first kicks of The Day post that he was fined the same fee for wearing the Air Jordan I.

The Air Jordan 11‘s retros are sold in the highest quantity ever and also the fastest selling Air Jordan’s of all time. I remember the all the chaos and craziness that was going on at the time of this shoe release in 2011. I just want to know why is it now that every shoe release whether they are hot or not has to involve people waiting at the mall in their cars at 4am in the morning? People fighting and killing people over some sneakers like really what has the world come to? I could go on about this epidemic but I think i’ve said enough. All I can say is people lost their lives over this shoe so I guess you can call this one a killer!

Hmmm I might have to be one of those fools outside the mall at 4:30 am or should I just pre order them? Either way I’m getting these, they definitely got flava!!!
