Dope Women in Hip Hop: 3D Na’Tee

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Memorial Day!!! I haven’t done a Dope Women in Hip Hop post in a while so I figured I had to show some love to my ladies today!

I’m really feeling this chick 3D Na’Tee and she is definitely holding the NO down. Her stage name is pronounced Three Dee Nah-Tee and was born Samantha James in the notoriously rough city of New Orleans, Louisiana. You probably remember seeing this lady on BET’s 106 & Park being a four-time freestyle champion. 3D Na’ Tee might be underground now but trust me if I was an A&R I would snatch her up quick because she is definitely one of the hottest female MC’s out right now.I would compare her to Trina but her flow is harder and her body is ridiculous!! I love a woman with some curves who embraces them the right way.

I respect this sista’s struggle, hustle, and music…

Throwback Moment: Jay-Z, Beyonce, & Solange on 106& Park

I know all my 90s babies can relate that this was the 106& park we love…. I remember watching this every single day!!! Solange has transformed recently, she looked like a mini beyonce in this video lol…Jay & Bey got some years on them don’t they? Enjoy!!

Throwback Moment: The Original Destiny’s Child

I remember being a little girl and watching this one music show on BET with a host name Rachel. I swear every show was hosted by this lady and I would literally be glued to the TV. This show was wayyyyy better than 106 & park. Anyways I remember this particular performance with Destiny’s Child cause I almost broke my ankle trying to dance like them lol. I loved me some Destiny’s Child, I still do but too bad there’s no more. I couldn’t help but laugh when I noticed how the other three members were placed behind Beyonce and the particular parts of the song they were singing. Some girl group huh? Welp Thank God for youtube for helping me relive those memories. Enjoy!!

Throwback Moment: Jay-Z vs. Nas

One of the biggests beefs in Hip hop history.. Marcy Projects own Jay-z vs. Queen’s Bridge Nas. Nas is a lyrical beast but if anybody knows me yall know im a Jay-z fan. But I had to say Nas murdered Jay on Ether. Using Ether as an metaphor the way he did was brilliant. This battle brought so of the best lyrical battle lines in hip hop history. You know this beef was big if MTV produced a whole show about it. People still debate who really won this hardcore battle. Jay-z? Nas? One things for certain this beef was no publicity stunt.
