Get Hip Mixtape Of The Week: Shun Ward x Pet Blue Dolphin

shunward

Singer,Shun Ward is a favorite of Nuflavainyaear and He has released his debut mixtape “Pet Blue Dolphin”. He is representing Houston, Texas and is an artist from Gruvsoul Entertainment. This mixtape gives me a 90′s vibe and it’s definitely some flava to relax to. Shun Ward covers classics from Sade to Ginuwine and his vocals are so smooth. My favorite track is “Dying For Love”, because we use to always spin that joint on the NCrowd Radio show and I have been hooked since. This is a MUST download so Get Hip.

Video Flava: Kendrick Lamar x B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe x Death of Molly?

Kendrick Lamar releases the visual for his hit single “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe” with appearances from Mike Epps and Juicy J. That is kind of funny for there to be a Juicy j appearance just because my interpretation of the all white dress code funeral was the death of molly. I mean I could be wrong but anyways enjoy.

Good Afternoon Flava!! My girl Gabbie Giftsz recently dropped two dope mixtapes for the people. “Finding Nefertiti” which seems to be more personal and sexy while “Miscellaneous Pimp Sh*t” is hardcore and gritty. This is definitely some heat for the summer and Gabbie Giftsz  proves once again she is no mediocre emcee.

Check Out some of her tracks from both mixtapes.

What Ever Happen to? Field Mob

I’ve been on a little hiatus lately from the site. I have been trying to finish this school semester strong so bare with me here. The summer is near!

I actually really enjoyed Field Mob‘s music but I knew they would not be around for long. I heard that Smoke had a new track but did not really hear too much buzz around it. The way way music is going today a lot of our favorites just can not make the cut. Thank God for the hits Field Mob did make though because lord knows I live for “Sick of Being Lonely” and “So What”.

Enjoy your Tuesday.

Flava: Yo, I Rap For Money…

Guess Who‘s BIZZAACCKKKKKK!!!!!

I decided to do a post on some Underground artists that I have been listening to for the past couple months. Some of these artists you may know and some you might just be getting hip to them. Underground music has took over my life lately mainly because I am getting bored with mainstream music.
Check out these artists!

This group is the real deal! They are an english girl group based in London. I love how they put a 90′s soul vibe on this Kendrick Lamar track.

SHUN WARD
shun-ward-sip-of-my-cup

I got exposed to Shun Ward while I was on The N-Crowd radio show. I like his smooth voice and anyone who can do a great remake of Sade is always a plus. The “Dying for love” single was the first track I heard, he is a really talented guy.

JOEY BADA$$

Joey Badda$$ is a rapper out of Brooklyn. His buzz been ringing but to me he is still underground and I love it. My cousin sent me his music one morning and I have been hooked ever since. His flow is insane and those instrumentals are classic.

Gabbie Giftsz is so innovative. I love how she does not bite her tongue and is not following the trend of female rap. Check out the interview I did on her, she’s dope!

Liberian American Idol? Zoanette Johnson Thinks So!

Do people still watch American Idol? It doesn’t matter because Ms. Zoanette Johnson (American Idol top 20 contestant) tackles the stage with her vibrant personality and dramatic voice. She is a Okalahoma native-born in Liberia and I am so excited for her because she is representing my home country. People have been complaining that she is not American so she does not deserve to be on “American Idol”. I think that statement is so ignorant because I am Liberian and I am also an American citizen. American people need to stop with all the assumptions about Africa and do some research. It seems like anyone or anything that has to do with Africa gets hit with gigantic negativity.I don’t understand how people choose to stay dumb, I mean knowledge is free in this country so take advantage of it.

When I first saw her performance of ” Circle of Life” from the Disney Motion Picture Lion King, I was disappointed. I was thinking “Great, now she is going to have people thinking that all of us Africans know this song, like its our national anthem or something. But actually seeing it for the second time , I have to say I enjoyed it. That is one of my favorite Disney movie songs. She may not have hit all the right notes but it was something about that performance that was very captivating. I thought Nicki Minaj’s emotional comment was hilarious. Onika cut it out!!

Hate It or love it Zoanette is going to shine. Check out the video of her performance..

New Flava: Blues People Mixtape x Mike Lovehall

58 Mics is starting this year off with a classic sound. Mike Lovehall has finally released his 1st debut EP, “Blues People” with tracks produced from Q-Tip to DJ Premiere. This tape has a selected 5 tracks including a collaboration with 58 Mics rapper, Maac Cruiz. This guy is legit and I’m throughly impressed. I definetly get an old school vibe when I listen to this and I love the message in his music. The intro was dope, the instrumental reminds me of something Biggie Smalls would freestyle on.

Hip Hop Quote Of The Day: Eminem

20130216-224901.jpg

I say what I wanna say and I do what I wanna do. There’s no in between. People will either love you for it or hate you for it.

Too many of us are living our lives for other people. Let’s start living for ourselves because regardless of the good or bad we do we will always be talked about negatively or positively.

Hate it or love it, I will always be me.
